LET'S REMEMBER HOW IT WAS!
As part of the Closing Ceremony of the Year of Science and Technology announced in the Russian Federation, the Congress of Young Scientists was held from December 8-10, 2021 in Sirius Science and Arts Park, Sochi.
The Congress became one of the significant events of the Year of Science and Technology in Russia, bringing together about three thousand leading scientists (primarily young), representatives of government and business, participants of the Year of Science and Technology events, winners of scientific competitions, as well as students and school students.
The Congress was organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Coordinating Council for Youth Affairs in the Scientific and Educational Spheres of the Presidential Council for Science and Education, the Roscongress Foundation.
On December 8, 2021, Vladimir Putin had a meeting with participants of the Congress of Young Scientists. The President intends to submit the questions and proposals raised during the meeting to the State Council and the Council for Science for discussion.
The business program of the Congress consisted of four blocks "New Medicine", "Space exploration", "Security: new challenges and threats", "New production technologies and materials".
Young scientists, students, postgraduates, school students, winners of grant competitions, as well as leading world-class Russian scientists, representatives of high-tech enterprises and heads of relevant state authorities attended the event.
The average age of the participants was less than 30 years.
In total, the site was visited by representatives of more than 280 higher educational institutions of the Russian Federation and representatives of more than 125 divisions of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
On December 1-3, 2022, the Sirius Park of Science and Art in Sochi hosted the 2nd Congress of Young Scientists, federal territory of Sirius, the Congress became one of the key events of the Decade of Science and Technology in Russia.
The Congress was organized in accordance with the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation following a joint meeting of the State Council of the Russian Federation and the Presidential Council for Science and Education.
Many ideas and projects that had been already changing the world were presented at the largest scientific platform.
Hundreds of promising developments, many have no analogues in the world. Some of them, in accordance with the instructions to the relevant departments after the demonstration at the congress, will be introduced and replicated in medicine, education and the agricultural industry.
The key event of the Congress was a meeting of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin with the participants, where proposals for science and technology development, a program to support scientists, issues of transition to a new technological order and the integration of new territories into the Russian scientific family were discussed.
2nd Congress
of Young Scientists
In 2022, the Congress for the second time brought together representatives of the academic environment, primarily young scientists, as well as businesses, state corporations, winners of grant competitions, students and school students.
The event was attended by about 4,000 participants and media representatives, including more than 1,900 participants from higher educational institutions (students of universities, institutes, academies), more than 500 employees of research institutes.
Geography of representation of participants:
84 regions of the Russian Federation and 44 foreign countries - Austria, Belarus, Kazakhstan, China, India, Iran, Egypt, Syria, Turkey, Myanmar, Uzbekistan, France and others.
The 3rd Congress of Young Scientists will be held
on November 28-30, 2023 in Sirius Science and Art Park, federal territory of Sirius.
The Congress will be one of the key events of the Decade
of Science and Technology.
The Congress will bring together for the third time representatives of Russian leading scientific schools, scientific and educational organizations, authorities, industrial partners, outstanding leaders of Russian science and most importantly - young scientists, winners of grant competitions, students, school students and leading Russian researchers, representatives of scientific and educational organizations, authorities and the business community.
